US President Joe Biden has approved the provision of anti-personnel mines to Ukraine, writes the American v. "Washington Post", quoted by Reuters and BTA.

An official state representative, quoted in the material of the publication, says that Ukraine has committed not to use mines in densely populated areas, the world agency specifies.

The US State Department earlier approved the potential sale of $100 million worth of military equipment and related military aid to Kiev, Reuters reported, citing a Pentagon statement.

Denmark, in turn, granted aid in the amount of over 130 million euros for the development of the Ukrainian arms industry.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz today expressed his dissatisfaction that Russia's responsibility for the war in Ukraine was not clearly mentioned in the final joint declaration of the countries participating in the G-20 summit (the group of the world's most powerful economics) in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), reported DPA, quoted by BTA..

Russian President Vladimir Putin has mercilessly bombed Ukraine for 1,000 days, Scholz said, quoted by DPA.

"A thousand days in which people had to suffer because of a blind megalomania, for the desire to simply expand your territory by force," said the German chancellor in a closing speech at the forum in Brazil.

At the same time, Scholz confirmed his decision not to send to Ukraine the long-range "Taurus" cruise missiles produced in his country. He pointed out that Germany is currently the biggest supporter of Ukraine in Europe and will remain so, but it is important to "do everything prudently".

"In my opinion, supplying (Ukraine) with a cruise missile would be a mistake for many reasons,", the chancellor continued, bearing in mind that such a move would involve Germany directly in the war.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has repeatedly asked Germany for "Taurus" missiles, but Scholz remains firm on the issue, DPA points out.

The West continues to use Ukraine as a tool to defeat Russia, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Russia's RIA news agency, which reported his words today, Reuters and BTA reported.

"Western politicians are continuing their line aimed at inflicting a strategic defeat on our country," Peskov told RIA, commenting on Kiev's permission to use US-made ATAKMS long-range tactical ballistic missiles to strike deep inside Russia.

"And, of course, they use Ukraine as a tool in their hands to achieve their goals," Peskov adds.

Russia destroyed 42 Ukrainian drones last night, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced, quoted by Reuters. and BTA.

Damage has been reported in some places, but at the time of the announcement, no information about victims has been received, the department added.

The governor of Voronezh Oblast, which borders northeastern Ukraine, Oleksandr Gusev, said Ukrainian forces had attacked a factory producing "civilian only" goods, as the attack caused a fire.
