Estonian defense company “Frankenburg Technologies“ will begin testing air defense missiles in Ukraine early next year, Ukrinform reported, BTA reported.
The company's CEO Kusti Salma has signed an agreement with Kiev to test the technology, which has attracted wide interest. “Frankenburg Technologies“ plans to initially produce several dozen missiles per week and by the third quarter, production will reach several hundred units.
The company is developing relatively cheap missiles to shoot down unmanned aircraft that use artificial intelligence to destroy their targets. The “Mark 1“ anti-aircraft missile should deal more effectively with Iranian kamikaze drones of the “Shahed“ type, the company states.
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna expressed confidence that the only truly effective guarantee of Ukraine's security would be for it to become a full member of NATO, Ukrinform recalls.
