Ukrainian gunners found a new world record for the farthest shot from ordinary field artillery, hitting the target at a distance of 70 km. This episode was reported by the Polish military-analytical portal Defence24.
In the publication devoted to the issue of the integration of the Polish Krab self-propelled guns with the Vulcano GLR high-precision guided projectile, an episode of the Russian-Ukrainian war is briefly mentioned. It is said that the Ukrainian gunners, who are fighting precisely on the Polish Krab self-propelled artillery installation, "had to hit the target at a distance of 70 km". According to Polish analysts, this is evidence that Polish self-propelled guns, which are on the battlefield in Ukraine, can now use Vulcano GLR shells.
At the same time, there are no details on how effective the shooting at 70 km was, and also - when and where this episode took place.
On this occasion, the Ukrainian military-analytical portal Defense Express adds that the firing distance of 70 km from an ordinary 155-mm gun is indeed a record. At least if only real combat actions are taken into account, and not firing at the test ranges.
