Moscow: This is a banal robbery! - 1

The release by the US authorities of a new loan to Kiev with the help of funds from frozen Russian assets is a banal robbery. This is stated in a statement published on the official website of the Russian Foreign Ministry and quoted by TASS.

"Announced by the US Treasury Department on December 10 another loan to the regime in Kiev to support the bankrupt Zelensky clique, which is to receive $20 billion from the Americans under guarantees of income from the management of frozen sovereign assets , and, in fact, stolen from the countries of the Group of Seven from Russia, is a banal robbery," the department said. The theft of Russian assets would hit the United States itself and its satellites, destabilizing the already fading "rules-based world order," the Russian Foreign Ministry stressed.

The diplomatic service noted that the "seven" stealing other people's money, setting the stage for the seizure and spending of all Russian sovereign reserves held in the West."

"This still won't help the Nazi-Bander regime. We will not be able to patch holes in our own budgets even on the scale of one of the "seven" countries such as Canada. But it has already done serious damage to the US-controlled global financial system, which relies on the dollar as a global reserve currency and instrument for international payments," the department continued.

Recall that the US Treasury Department announced on Tuesday that it has disbursed the US$20 billion portion of a US$50 billion G7 loan to Ukraine, secured by frozen Russian sovereign assets, to the World Bank Intermediary Fund for economic and financial assistance.

The repayment fulfills an October commitment to match a $20 billion European Union loan to Ukraine along with loans from G7 allies Britain, Canada and Japan to help in the war with Russia.

The payout before President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration in January is intended to protect the funds from being seized by his administration. Trump complained that the US was giving too much aid to Ukraine and said he would quickly end the war, without specifying how.

The United States also unveiled a new package of military aid to Ukraine on Saturday. It is worth $988 million and includes new weapons and equipment for Ukraine for its ongoing war against Russia.

Trump has again threatened to pull the US out of NATO if the remaining allies don't spend more on defense.

"They have to pay their bills," Trump said in an interview with NBC News published Sunday. He added that "absolutely" will consider US withdrawal from military alliance if NATO allies are not treated "fairly" to the USA.
