Britain said last night that it would send an additional £225m worth of military equipment to Ukraine to help it in its war against Russia, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
“The brave people of Ukraine continue to defy all expectations with their indomitable spirit“, British Defence Secretary John Healy said in a statement. “But they cannot do it alone - that is why the UK will strengthen its international leadership role in relation to Ukraine in 2025“, the minister added.
The package includes £92m pounds for the Ukrainian Navy and 68 million pounds for air defense equipment. It was announced after Healy met in Kiev with his Ukrainian counterpart Rustem Umerov and also includes 39 million pounds for anti-drone systems and protective equipment for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, PA Media and DPA reported.
