A plane of the Swiss airline "Swiss" (SWISS) - An Airbus A220-300, flying from the Romanian capital Bucharest to Zurich yesterday, made an emergency landing in Austria due to engine problems and smoke in the passenger cabin and cockpit, DPA reported, quoted by BTA.
As a result of the accident, 17 people on board, including 12 passengers, required medical attention, the airline, which is owned by the "Lufthansa Group", announced.
The plane landed in the Austrian city of Graz, and a crew member was transported to a hospital by helicopter.
The airline announced that it remains in constant contact with Austrian authorities and "is working diligently to establish the causes of the incident.".
