A fuel spill and a fire of flammable and lubricating materials occurred at an oil depot in the Yartsevo area of the Smolensk region as a result of an attack by drones of the Ukrainian armed forces, the governor of the region Vasily Anokhin reported on his Telegram channel.
“According to preliminary information, the remains of one of the unmanned aerial vehicles fell on the territory of an oil depot. As a result, a fuel spill occurred and a fire broke out in the fuel and lubricants depot“, he wrote.
Currently, rescue services are localizing the consequences. There is no danger to residential properties.
„We ask you not to approach the remains of drones if you find them. Emergency services should be immediately informed of their location by calling 112,“ the governor added.
Russian servicemen have repelled an attempt by the Ukrainian armed forces to attack near Sevastopol using drones. This was reported by Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev on his Telegram channel.
"The loud sounds that were just heard in the city were our servicemen repelling an attempt to attack with drones. "According to preliminary information, one UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle - TASS note) was destroyed," he wrote.
Russian air defense systems destroyed 68 Ukrainian drones over eight regions of the Russian Federation overnight, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
25 of them were shot down over the Bryansk region, 17 devices were destroyed over the territory of Crimea, 11 over the Krasnodar Territory, 10 over the Smolensk Region, and 2 over the Tver Region. One drone was destroyed over the Rostov, Kursk, and Kaluga regions.
