American entrepreneur Elon Musk, a future employee of Donald Trump's team, accused the administration of outgoing President Joe Biden of treason for selling off materials for the construction of the wall along the border with Mexico.

“One hundred percent treason“, he wrote on the social network X, commenting on a post by a user who claimed that the administration had deliberately opened the borders to migrants by selling off materials for the construction of the wall along the border with Mexico and dismantling barriers at border crossings.

In early December, the Daily Wire reported that the Biden administration had been auctioning off materials for the border wall with Mexico at an extremely low price in the last weeks of its term in office, in an attempt to harm the newly elected President Donald Trump.

According to the publication, the goal was to remove all the materials stored in the cities of Nogales, Tucson and Three Points before the Catholic Christmas (December 25).

According to photos provided by the publication, the price of each large batch of steel materials at the auction starts at just five dollars. Later, the Hill newspaper, citing a statement from the communications director of the Trump transition team, Stephen Cheung, reported that the newly elected president had asked a Texas court to investigate and stop the “express sale” of the materials and has banned Washington from making.
The wall, designed to stem the flow of illegal immigrants, was Trump's pet project but remains unfinished due to opposition from Democrats, including Biden.
