US President Joe Biden has decided to cancel a trip to Italy due to the wildfires in California, which have killed at least five people.
He declared a state of emergency in the state, White House press secretary Karin Jean-Pierre said.
“After returning from Los Angeles, where he met with police, firefighters and emergency personnel battling historic wildfires raging in the area, and following the declaration of a state of emergency in California, President Biden has decided to cancel his upcoming trip to “Italy,“ the statement said.
