Israeli aircraft have struck military targets in the Syrian province of Latakia, the Al-Hadath TV channel reported.
According to its information, the Jebel al-Shaara area was under fire.
As reported by the Syrian newspaper Al-Watan, in recent hours Israel has carried out 18 airstrikes against targets in several provinces of the Arab Republic.
The strikes were aimed at the outskirts of Damascus, a region in the central Syrian province of Hama, and targets in the southern province of Daraa. Among the Israeli targets were positions of the 41st Division of the the Syrian army in the suburbs of the capital and an artillery regiment based in the vicinity of the city of Izra in Daraa province. The TV channel „Al Jazeera“ reports that the air defense division located near the village of Moussabin was also bombed in Daraa.
According to the latest information, one civilian was killed and four people were injured in Hama province as a result of the attack on the outskirts of Damascus.
The TV channel „Al Manar“ claims that the current Israeli airstrike is the most powerful in the history of Syria.
