The change of faces on the "Berlin political Olympus" is of no significant importance to Moscow. Russia is ready for any development of events, and an improvement in bilateral relations is not expected, said Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova in a comment published on the website of the diplomatic mission of the Russian Federation, quoted by TASS, reports Focus.
„Against the backdrop of numerous belligerent and Russophobic statements by German politicians, there is no reason to hope for an improvement in relations between our countries. In fact, there is nothing more to be aggravated - thanks to the efforts of the government of Olaf Scholz, they have already been destroyed almost to the ground,“ said Zakharova.
According to her, Germany has lost the remnants of its sovereignty, international authority and role in global politics, which makes political changes in Berlin insignificant from the point of view of Russian foreign policy.
Regarding the possible supply of long-range cruise missiles of the “Taurus“ type to Ukraine, Zakharova emphasized that “it was no coincidence that this intention was surrounded by a number of reservations“. She pointed out that such a decision would require coordination with future coalition partners, with the Bundestag, as well as with allies, among whom there are disagreements on the subject.
“As the experience with the supply of German combat vehicles “Puma' and the 'Leopard' tanks, not a single 'Taurus' will save the Zelensky regime," Zakharova concluded.
