Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, US President Donald Trump, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa held a video conference call, the Anadolu Agency reported, BTA reports.
During the online meeting, the Turkish president welcomed Trump's decision to lift sanctions on Syria, describing it as “historic“ and said it could serve as an example for other countries implementing similar restrictive measures.
Erdogan said Turkey would continue to support the Syrian administration in its fight against terrorist organizations, especially the “Islamic State“.
He also highlighted Ankara's efforts to end violence in the Strip Gaza.
“It is time to end the humanitarian tragedy in Gaza“, said the Turkish president.
