A new round of talks between Iranian and US delegations on the nuclear file, which was planned for June 15 in the Omani capital Muscat, will not take place.
This was announced by Omani Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi, who is acting as a mediator between Tehran and Washington.
“The talks between Iran and the US, planned for this Sunday in Muscat, will not take place“, he writes in X.
The reason for the failed talks is apparently the conflict that has erupted between Israel and Iran.
On June 11, on the eve of the strikes between the two countries, Iranian Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh said that if the nuclear talks fail and a military conflict arises with US, Iran ready to strike US bases in the Middle East.
