Iran fired several missiles at Israel during a new attack recorded in recent hours, the Israeli army press service reported. According to the military, most of the missiles were intercepted.

Israel's missile defense system is unable to intercept about 15% of the ballistic missiles launched by Iran. This was stated by the Israeli ambassador to the US, Yechiel Leiter.

„Iran has a very large arsenal of ballistic missiles. We have good missile defense systems, but they do not hermetically seal the sky. "About 10-15% of these ballistic missiles penetrate [Israel's missile defenses]," he said in an interview with ABC News.

According to Leiter, the Jewish state's attack has managed to "seriously delay" the Islamic Republic's nuclear program. "However, this is not enough, so the strikes will not end today or tomorrow, but only after some time. It may take weeks, but we must be absolutely sure that the nuclear infrastructure that poses a threat to Israel is destroyed," the ambassador said.

Saudi Arabia, together with the Gulf states, is currently making active diplomatic efforts to stabilize the situation in the region and return Iran to the negotiating table. This statement was made by the Iraqi news portal Shafaq News.

According to a high-ranking diplomatic source, Riyadh is thus seeking to strengthen its strategic position in the Middle East. If it succeeds, Saudi Arabia will claim the place of Qatar and Oman as a mediator between the conflicting parties.

Earlier, the Israeli newspaper The Jerusalem Post reported that, according to its sources, Iran has asked the United States, through Oman and Qatar, to force Israel to stop its strikes against the Islamic Republic. According to the same source, Tehran has signaled to Washington its readiness to resume negotiations on its nuclear program, interrupted by the Israeli military operation. In addition, according to a JPost source, the Saudi authorities are also taking non-public steps aimed at resuming the negotiation process.

An Israeli drone attacks a police building in Tehran. Several police officers were injured in the strike. It is noted that the building itself suffered minor damage.
