The US Air Force has successfully attacked three Iranian nuclear sites, with all the planes having returned to their air bases. This is stated in a message published by US President Donald Trump on Truth Social.
“We have completed our extremely successful attack on three nuclear sites in Iran - Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan. All planes are now outside Iranian airspace“, the head of state wrote. "All aircraft returned home safely," he added.
According to Reuters, the attack involved B-2 strategic bombers that had previously been redeployed to the Pacific island of Guam, a US overseas territory. These aircraft can be equipped with the US GBU-57 aerial bomb, designed to destroy targets located deep underground. According to experts, this is the type of bomb that could be used to hit the Fordow nuclear facility, which is located at a depth of about 90 m.
