Norway allocates $400 million for the Ukrainian military-industrial complex, Volodymyr Zelensky said.
"The Minister of Defense of Norway was in Ukraine. There is a decision for $400 million for our production - new investments, mainly for drones", the Ukrainian president wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to him, an office of one of the largest European defense companies, the Norwegian Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace, has already been opened in Ukraine.
On June 20, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre announced that the kingdom's authorities intend to increase defense and security spending to 5% of GDP in accordance with NATO goals. According to him, the country plans to allocate 3.5% of GDP for defense needs, including providing financial support to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
An additional 1.5% of GDP will be allocated to ensure national and collective security.
