Polish President Andrzej Duda has arrived in the Ukrainian capital on an unannounced visit, where he will meet with Volodymyr Zelensky, the Polish leader's office reported.
„President Andrzej Duda has arrived in Kiev. The program includes a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky“, the press service reported. A video of the Polish leader being welcomed at the Kiev railway station by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiha was posted under the post.
As TVP Info notes, this visit is of a farewell nature, as Duda leaves the presidency on August 6.
Meanwhile, the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, stated on the sidelines of the XII Forum of Regions of Russia and Belarus that the boundaries of the so-called buffer zone for security on the border of the Russian Federation and Ukraine depend on the equipment and weapons supplied to Kiev.
“It depends on the support that Western countries will provide by the time the decision is made“, Pushilin said.
In May, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced at an operational meeting with members of the government that a decision had been made to create a buffer zone for security on the border between the Russian Federation and Ukraine. According to the Russian leader, the task is being carried out by the Russian armed forces.
