Satellite images by Maxar Technologies, taken on June 27, show emergency repairs to Iran's Fordow underground nuclear complex just days after the US airstrikes, writes Turkey Today, quoted by Focus.
The images show heavy machinery, including excavators and bulldozers, working around bomb craters caused by GBU-57 strikes - so-called "bunker bombs". Roads to the site are also being restored. Interestingly, construction work was already visible a day before the attack, raising questions about whether preparations had begun even before the strike.
There has been no official response from Iranian authorities about the damage to the nuclear stockpile. According to state media, the enriched uranium was taken to a safe place before the attack. US President Donald Trump said that the strikes on Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan had “set Iran's nuclear program back years“, but this claim is not fully supported by US intelligence.
A leaked preliminary report from the Military Intelligence Agency reports “low confidence“ about the extent of the damage. A US general, quoted by CNN, admitted that the bombs were ineffective against the Isfahan facility because it is located too deep underground.
