US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will hold a phone call on the suspension of US military supplies to Ukraine, News.bg reports.
This is reported by the British newspaper Financial Times, citing unnamed sources close to the negotiations.
According to the publication, the conversation is scheduled for Friday, July 4, but the exact date and time can still be changed. Zelensky is expected to raise the issue of the future of military aid and the possibility of resuming supplies, including the purchase of weapons at a later stage.
Neither the White House nor the Office of the President of Ukraine responded to Financial Times inquiries regarding confirmation of the upcoming conversation.
On July 2, the Pentagon officially announced a temporary freeze on new arms supplies to Ukraine, including missiles for air defense systems. The US Department of Defense cited the need to ensure that the US armed forces have sufficient ammunition after the recent strikes on Iranian targets.
