A Russian oil tycoon has died after falling from a skyscraper in a series of mysterious deaths, The Sun reports.
Andrei Badalov, 62, fell from his apartment in the luxury Moscow apartment building where he lived, local media reported.
Badalov is married and has two children.
Investigators are working at the scene to clarify the circumstances
Kremlin media cited a source as saying: "Badalov's body was found under the windows of [apartment building] on Rublyovskoe road“.
Badalov was vice president of "Transneft“ - the Russian state-owned oil pipeline operator and the largest such company in the world.
The company is headed by former KGB spy Nikolai Tokarev, 74, who served with Putin in Germany during the Cold War.
Since Putin began preparing his invasion of Ukraine more than three years ago, Russia has seen a spate of mysterious deaths of executives linked to the oil and gas industry, the British publication writes.
They are often registered as suicides, but many of the cases raise doubts.
Among the skeptics is Ukrainian journalist Denis Kazansky.
He posted a sarcastic comment: "Top managers of Yukos and Lukoil have already fallen out of windows".
"What are you laughing at? They just fall out of the windows themselves.
Russian oil workers have this occupational deformity. As soon as they get close to the windows, their legs immediately buckle.
