Four Germans died when a small plane crashed in Austria, DPA reported, quoted by BTA, citing police.
The incident occurred yesterday afternoon near the town of Krimml, east of Innsbruck. The model of the plane has not yet been specified.
The machine took off from Oberschleissheim, near Munich, police said. The identities and ages of the victims have not yet been established.
A police spokesman said the plane crash occurred in good weather conditions.
The plane's collision with the ground caused a fire. According to the fire department, the machine fell on uneven terrain and the fire spread to a nearby forest.
Rescue teams were sent to search for victims and extinguish the flames.
