US Air Force fighter jets were scrambled on July 5 after a civilian plane entered restricted airspace over the Bedminster, New Jersey golf course, owned by US President Donald Trump, who was there at the time.

This was announced by representatives of the North American Aerospace Defense Command.

According to the statement, the fighter jets “intercepted a civilian plane that had violated the temporarily restricted airspace over Bedminster“. Several similar violations have been committed in the area earlier. The military specified that the civilian plane “was safely removed from the area“.

The American leader has no public events scheduled for July 5. The American president often spends weekends at this golf club.
