Russian President Vladimir Putin, unlike European leaders, is ignoring the attacks of US President Donald Trump, writes journalist Sylvie Kaufmann in an article for the British newspaper Financial Times.
She noted that the US president's “firm paternal behavior“ may have impressed NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, but the Russian leader is “immune to his hysteria“.
The journalist emphasized that Putin adheres to his unchanging position and during talks with heads of state insists on eliminating the root causes of the Ukrainian conflict in order to resolve it.
Trump has previously spoken of his dissatisfaction with Putin. According to him, the Russian leader's statements always sound good, but ultimately lead to nothing.
