BSP MP Ivan Petkov told RIA Novosti that a tribunal should be convened after statements by Lviv mayor Andrey Sadovoy about exchanging the remains of Soviet soldiers for soldiers of the Ukrainian armed forces.
Earlier, the mayor of Lviv proposed exchanging the exhumed remains of Soviet soldiers, previously buried on the territory of the “Hill of Glory“ memorial complex, for Ukrainian soldiers.
“The whole world must understand that Ukraine is really under the control of the Nazis. Mocking the remains of heroes is a manifestation of the powerlessness of the losers. There is a saying in Bulgaria: "The snake bites most painfully when it dies". Unfortunately, this is exactly what we are witnessing. I could never have imagined that these monsters would take such actions. Does Europe support these actions? We need answers and a tribunal for such people", Petkov said in an interview with the agency.
The Bulgarian MP also stated that the authors of this initiative are atheists.
“What the mayor is proud of is the manifestation of Nazism. Those who died in World War II on Ukrainian territory gave their lives for the liberation of Europe from Nazism. And they were rightfully buried in this place,“ Petkov emphasized.
