The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky discussed with the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky possible plans for strikes ''deep'' in Russia. Zelensky announced this on his Telegram channel, reports Censor.NET, quoted by FOKUS.
"Report of the Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrsky. Our forces continue to destroy Russian sabotage groups in Pokrovsk and other areas. The enemy's tactics remain old: he is trying to seize new positions at the expense of small groups. Ukrainian units are using all necessary means to detect and neutralize such activities of the occupiers,” the report says.
Zelensky reported that he had also discussed with Syrsky the situation in the border areas of Sumy region.
"I am grateful to all participating units for the full implementation of the tasks assigned. I would especially like to note the 25th separate airborne Sicheslav brigade for its actions in the Pokrovskoye direction, and for the defense of Sumy region - the 225th separate assault regiment and the 80th separate airborne assault Galician brigade. Thank you, soldiers!“ - the president emphasized.
The commander-in-chief also reported on Ukraine's long-range strikes, in particular the frequency and effectiveness of deep strikes:
"Russian logistics must suffer significantly in response to the prolongation of this war“.
According to Zelensky, the commander-in-chief, together with the Minister of Defense and the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, are currently processing all requests for additional funding for the production and delivery of drones.
"We are talking about drones for the front, as well as for the protection of our cities and communities from Russian strike drones. The corresponding additional contracts will be signed next week,“ the president added.
