The Kremlin announced that representatives of Russia and Ukraine will hold a new round of talks on Wednesday evening in Istanbul. The main topics will be the draft memorandums exchanged during the previous meeting, as well as the continuation of the prisoner exchange process, News.bg reports.
„Indeed, our delegation has left for Istanbul. The talks are scheduled for tonight," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, as quoted by the BBC.
He explained that issues related to the documents exchanged in the second round of talks, as well as the "very important process of mutual exchange" would be discussed.
"If necessary, of course, other issues will be raised," Peskov added.
The talks will be led by Vladimir Medinsky from the Russian side and Rustem Umerov from the Ukrainian side. The two also led the delegations at the previous direct meetings in Istanbul, the only concrete result of which so far has been a large-scale exchange of prisoners of war.
