The US leader's special envoy Stephen Witkoff said that he would like to achieve a settlement of the conflict in Ukraine and long-term peace in the Middle East before the end of Donald Trump's presidential term.
In an interview with Fox News, Witkoff was asked what a dignified end to his term as special envoy would be, after Trump's presidential term expires in three and a half years.
“If we solve the problems of Russia and Ukraine and conclude a peace agreement, because that's what needs to happen“, he replied. “If we expand the Abraham Accords, if we achieve lasting peace in Gaza, if we establish long-term peace in the Middle East, I think these will be the main achievements.“
