Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko said that the country's partners have promised financial support for Kiev for $37.4 billion in the period 2026-2027, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
"We are expecting a mission from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and it is very likely that we will have a new program", she added in a statement published today in "Ex" (X).
During the presentation of the government's action program, Sviridenko also said that Ukraine expects an IMF mission at the end of August, Interfax-Ukraine reported.
Members of the Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine's parliament) are expected to be part of the negotiating team, she specified.
"We would very much like our partners' demands to be coordinated with us. Preferably coordinated with the European Union... We must work to ensure that the IMF and European Union programs are coordinated with each other," the Ukrainian prime minister said.
