"Toplofikatsiya Sofia" is on the verge of a serious crisis, losing about 2 million leva per day. This was stated by the municipal councilor from "Save Sofia" Emilia Angelova to journalists, before the start of the extraordinary session of the Sofia Municipal Council (SOC). According to her, the session is key to hearing the company's plans for repairs and financial recovery.

"Last year, not a single kilometer of the heat transmission network was replaced, despite public procurements for over 200 million leva for materials," Angelova pointed out, quoted by BTA. She added that this is a huge problem because the materials are not used for repairs, and the obligations to "Bulgargaz", which is the company's largest creditor, continue to increase. accumulate.

The municipal councilor also commented on the unexpected renovation in the "Druzhba" neighborhood, pointing out that its start precisely with the drop in temperatures indicates a lack of adequate planning and preparation on the part of the company.

Angelova announced that "Spasi Sofia" had received reports that gave a clear picture of the technical condition of the heat transfer network and suggested measures for using waste heat. "The reports received show where energy is lost and how it can be returned to the heat transfer system in order to reduce losses," she specified.

Emilia Angelova emphasized the potential of the company, saying that "Toplofikatsiya Sofia" could be a profitable enterprise if a technical audit were conducted and the waste heat that is currently going into the sewerage system was used. We can significantly reduce losses and increase efficiency, she added she.

According to her, the fact that "Bulgargaz" has to send letters to reschedule its obligations shows that the management is not doing its job. Not a single official letter for an action plan has been submitted - how is this possible with a debt of over 1.3 billion leva, Angelova asked.
