The dissatisfaction with the parking changes in Sofia continues. Residents of the „Poduyane” district have once again protested and blocked traffic on the „Chavdar” bridge, reports Nova TV. They are demanding the resignation of the mayor of the district, Kristian Hristov, who they say initiated the addition of Poduyane” to the reforms.
Dissatisfied citizens from the „Hadzhi Dimitar” and „Suhata Reka” neighborhoods have declared themselves against the changes in parking, namely the increase in the price for the zones and the expansion of their scope. The protesters have organized a petition with the question “Do you agree to the introduction of a paid parking zone in the “Poduyane” district?”.
A few days ago, the Administrative Court stopped the increase in the price and the expansion of parking zones in Sofia and declared the municipality's decision “null”. For its part, the Sofia Municipality said that it will appeal. It remains to be seen whether the parking reform will be implemented.
