A driver was temporarily left without a license after his car broke down on the "Trakia" highway and was forced to stop in the emergency lane with a blocked engine, reports Nova TV. Before he finally stopped, the man was photographed by toll cameras speeding several kilometers above the speed limit for the emergency lane and was handed over to the police. Sanctions followed, and in addition to a fine, his license was also taken away. The man proves the accident with documents from the "Roadside Assistance", the insurer, as well as witness statements. Nerves, worries and tension follow.
“I went to appeal to the Traffic Police in Stara Zagora. I couldn't find any information on how many kilometers I should drive when I have an accident. I just took precautions so that something worse wouldn't happen”, shared Iliyan Barzev on the air of “Hello, Bulgaria”.
The police admitted to the mistake and revoked the driver's license.
