The honorary chairman of the "Alliance for Rights and Freedoms" (APS) Ahmed Dogan announced that the party will support Rumen Radev.
"Congratulations, Mr. President! Only you are the decisive factor for the formation of an anti-mafia front against our seized state! We, from the Alliance for Rights and Freedoms, are unreservedly with you", it is written in a post on the party's Facebook page, quoted by dariknews.bg.
"We have a lot of work ahead of us. But with joint efforts, coordination and togetherness we can We mobilize all generations to dismantle the “deep state“ and to restart democracy”, Ahmed Dogan added.
"Stay alive and well and still be determined in the fight for a better Bulgaria", the honorary chairman of the APS concluded his publication.
In a special address to the nation, President Rumen Radev announced yesterday that he would submit his resignation to the Constitutional Court today.
"Today, for the last time, I am addressing you as the president of our Bulgaria. I would like to first of all ask for forgiveness. Time has put your trust to the test, so I thank you for your patience. I recognize my mistakes, I am aware of what I failed to accomplish. But it is precisely my belief that we will achieve it that is one of the main motives for my decision," the president said. I am convinced that Iliana Yotova will be a worthy head of state, he pointed out.
