„Rumen Radev is entering the political arena after we, together with the citizens, overthrew the rulers. His political positioning does not change the priorities for which we are fighting – to live in a free, fair and wealthy Bulgaria“, said in the studio of „Offensive with Lyubo Ognyanov“ former Minister of Justice Nadezhda Yordanova.

In her words, the ambitions and direction of the formation remain unchanged. „Our goal is a strong Bulgaria in a strong Europe“, emphasized Yordanova.

She added that the aspiration is for maximum public support, which would give sufficient political weight to impose the agenda. “Anyone who wants to talk to us must clearly respond to two political benchmarks - unity for a strong Bulgaria in a strong Europe and a categorical position against the conquered state. We are talking about concrete actions, not slogans“, Yordanova said.

According to her, President Radev has not shown real actions to oppose corruption. “The skepticism among us is completely understandable. Radev attacks the entry into the eurozone and the amendments to the Law on Protection of Competition - policies that we have consistently defended“, she pointed out.

On the topic of the caretaker government, Yordanova said that she had not held talks with Andrey Gyurov and had no information about such. She emphasized that she expects the talks between Iliana Yotova and the potential caretaker prime ministers to be public. “It was not by chance that we insisted that the procedure be transparent. The Prime Minister must guarantee fair and free elections“, she also said.

Yordanova also commented on the possible figures who could guarantee the fairness of the vote. “Boyko Rashkov and Ivan Demerdzhiev have shown that they apply the law professionally and do everything possible to hold fair elections“, she noted.

According to her, if scanning devices are not introduced, the current way of voting will remain.

Finally, she announced that work is currently underway to refer the signed charter for the Peace Council to the Constitutional Court. “We believe that this document in its current form does not comply with the Constitution. If it comes to a vote in the National Assembly, we will not support it“, Yordanova concluded.
