Dechev: Tomorrow at 8:01 PM I will announce the top 3 parties that bought votes

Dechev announced that the persons with immunity who are participating in the elections and for whom the Ministry of Interior has data on involvement in committing election crimes are already around 50

Interior Minister Emil Dechev will announce one minute after the end of election day which parties bought votes.

He made this statement in an interview with "Deutsche Welle".

When asked if the names and abuses revolve around one party, the Interior Minister replied: "I won't say it now. When it is 20:01 on election day, I will say who the champions are, who the silver and bronze medalists are.

Dechev announced that the persons with immunity who are participating in the elections and for whom the Ministry of Interior has data on involvement in committing election crimes are already around 50. "The correspondence has been sent to the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office and for the moment we have no information even about one of these persons having pre-trial proceedings initiated and a decree issued to attract him as a defendant", said the Minister of Interior.

Dechev also commented that he is not surprised by the scale of this "business", by the 1,200,000 euros seized and by the over 370 detainees.

He is convinced that this is only a small part. "It is theoretically impossible to keep everything in check", he says.

The caretaker minister explained that a controlled vote is much more difficult to prevent than a bought one and is more difficult to investigate.

"Countering it is successful when there are insiders who are willing to cooperate. It is much easier to counteract this type of vote than a regular government, which has had four years to provide sufficient police and security for suspects, so that when the election process and the election date approach, the operational authorities are sufficiently well prepared - both with agents and special intelligence means and insiders who are ready to provide information, to provide them with protection as witnesses," said Dechev, stressing that all this requires the cooperation of the prosecutor's office.

Dechev assumes that he is also among the ministers being investigated by the prosecutor's office, but has not yet been questioned. "There is nothing stopping them from summoning me after the elections. That is the logic," he announced.
