Political scientist: In order to have 2 in 1 elections, the presidential decree must be issued no later than April 8

We are in a trial period of testing constitutional changes. It is difficult to guess what profile will be taken up by the various ministers in the cabinet, said Teodora Yovcheva

Time is running out to create a caretaker government and go to 2 in 1 elections. Dimitar Glavchev - the candidate for caretaker prime minister, is looking for experts in his project cabinet. The leader of GERB, Boyko Borisov, announced that his party does not interfere in the selection of official ministers. Against this background, it was clearly said that after the elections, GERB-SDS will not enter into a coalition only with DPS.

"In order to have a 2-in-1 election, the presidential decree must be issued no later than April 8. Until now, we see that Dimitar Glavchev is privately looking for experts. Most likely, he will be able to find them, there are enough individuals whose bio shows expertise. But the question of how the cabinet will be coordinated between the president and the prime minister is more interesting, because at this stage it seems that the president is completely transferring the responsibility to the candidate for prime minister. But let's not forget that the decree comes from the name of the president," said political scientist Teodora Yovcheva.

The search for experts to enter the office continues.

"There are experts in the country. There will be enough people to fill these positions. Distance from political parties will be sought and expertise will be sought. There is certainly a need to hold talks with both the president and the parties. Regardless of whether there will be approval from one side or the other, when it's quiet, there's no publicity, there are talks," said the Gallup International Balkan pollster. Janitsa Petkova on the air of Bulgaria ON AIR.

After the 9-month assembly, it remains to be seen what campaigns the parties will air and how they will get voters to go vote.

"We are in a test period of testing constitutional changes. It is difficult to guess what profile will be taken by the various ministers in the cabinet. After all, we will find out very soon what the lineup will be. Whichever minister remains, this can be used as an argument that changes to the Constitution require greater involvement of Parliament. Voters have shrunk to extremely hard cores. There won't be much opportunity to attract voters, except for those who firmly decided to vote, without 2 in 1 elections," commented Yovcheva.

Of key importance for voter turnout is the question of whether the elections will be 2 in 1.

"Those people who are politically active generally vote. Perhaps the parties will try to attract voters if the elections are on the same dates. We are not isolated from everything that happens in the EU, our political problems are interwoven with other topics that will be used during the campaign.

We have to think about a coalition after the elections. To a large extent, GERB and DPS are not expected to form a coalition. Currently, in order to conduct any active campaign, GERB and PP-DB must be political opponents. We hold the elections so that after them the two sides can talk. If the parties refuse to form a coalition after the elections, we will still be left with PP-DB and GERB. Most likely, there will be a confrontation again," Petkova pointed out.
