Security expert from the Center for the Study of Democracy Tihomir Bezlov commented this to Euronews Bulgaria.
It is symbolic that the director of the NRA was not replaced by the official cabinet, but his deputy was made the director of customs.
According to Bezlov, so far we have not seen evidence of corruption by the former chief secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Zhivko Kotsev, apart from photos that “leaked in some strange way”.
According to the security expert, the scandals in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the “Customs” will not significantly affect our chances for full integration into Schengen, because behind the blockade of Vienna there are mainly internal political reasons, including the pre-election situation in Austria.
