This act was not against the man Rosen Zhelyazkov, but against the Speaker of the National Assembly Rosen Jhelyazkov, who repeatedly violated the rules of the parliament and for one single reason: to fulfill the orders of Mr. Peevski and Mr. Borisov, who were constantly cheering him on from the front row. This was stated by the co-chairman of “We continue the change” to journalists in the parliament. Kiril Petkov, after earlier the deputies released Rosen Zhelyazkov from the chairmanship.
Peevski and Borisov do not own this country, and if GERB wants to have a Euro-Atlantic direction, they will have to get rid of their dependence on Mr. Peevski. State institutions should not be subordinated to any person, the former prime minister pointed out.
According to Petkov, if Rosen Zhelyazkov had acted according to his own will, the violations committed by him as Speaker of the Parliament would not have happened.
„That is why it is very important to say that Bulgaria will be a state of law and no one will be above the law. If GERB continues to be subject to Mr. Peevski, the results will not change”, explained Kiril Petkov in conclusion.
Petkov emphasized that if GERB really is a Euro-Atlantic party, as they claim, they should get rid of their dependence on Peevski.
