Simov: Expert management - so that the political system can move forward

I want to see what kind of anti-corruption fighter a person named personally by Peevski as an MEP will be, Simov said to Elena Yoncheva

"Maybe we have to go through an expert, supra-party government to solve specific economic tasks. This is the only way the political system can move forward. Otherwise, we are doomed to Delyan Peevski, sglobki, GERB, Boyko Borisov and the urban right until a setback. There are no easy solutions in Bulgaria anymore".

This is what Alexander Simov, journalist and deputy chairman of the city organization of BSP-Sofia, commented before BNR.

According to him, BSP has no place in a management format with PP. According to him, PP is currently a party in a very serious moral and political crisis. They are the party of the big lie, he was categorical and emphasized that this assembly was the biggest change of vote in the history of the transition.

BSP cannot violate the basic principle it has set before itself, which is "never a coalition with GERB", added Simov. According to him, BSP cannot afford to govern with DPS. Still, according to him, the party is not doomed to be an opposition.

In an interview for the show "Politically INCORRECT" Alexander Simov stressed that the BSP did not act improperly towards Rumen Radev, Elena Yoncheva or Vanya Grigorova.

"At the same time, from some of them we saw fierce friendly fire in the back, from which the BSP is still suffering".

According to him, many people do not know what it is like to be part of a party when you have to comply with certain decisions. Going against key decisions of your own party shows that you need to rethink whether you want to be a part of it or not, he specified.

"It is not possible when you have built your campaign on the defense of the Monument to the Soviet Army and say that this is your red line that you will never cross, when you have a decision of the National Council that you will not vote for anyone else , except for your own candidate, and the next moment you cross that line and vote for those who ate cake with the monument's severed head. For me, this is an unacceptable political compromise", commented the deputy chairman of the city organization of the left. And he continued:

"This assembly would be done. Why did the BSP have to become the best man at this wedding? Participation in such floating majorities contradicts the meaning of the existence of the left".

The BSP is being hit by several blows from different sides, pointed out Alexander Simov and explained:

"Even if there is no political engineering behind these projects, the fact is that Yoncheva's transfer to the ranks of the DPS is certainly a blow against the DPS, and just notice how the left-wing lists sprout like poisonous mushrooms in these elections.

" p>

According to him, the people from the other left-wing lists have no other topic than the BSP. And, according to him, the big topic of these elections is completely different.

"If they go back to dealing only with BSP, they will not like the results,", he warned.

According to him, the goal of all this is to fragment the leftist electorate as much as possible. That is why they are trying to gather as much as possible from the left, he said, and invited those who want to have unity to a meeting:

"The central thing of this meeting is to see which parties have common goals and we can interact as a political leader. Who gets on the lists is more of a technicality. For me, the political part in this left-wing association is more important.

There are no irreconcilable nuances in political terms, Simov believes. He does not accept the idea that the opposition is stifled in the BSP.

"I am not saying that there are no problems in BSP. I'm not wearing rose-colored glasses. Obviously, there are problems in the BSP, but I think most of the problems in the BSP are due to the egos of people who cannot accept the fact that the party voted one way or the other when electing its leader.

On the accepted nomination by Elena Yoncheva as a candidate for MEP from the DPS list, the journalist commented:

"Until recently, I believed that regardless of our differences, Elena Yoncheva still has some principled basis that she will not betray. All this collapsed when I saw that she accepted the nomination of Delyan Peevski - this is not a DPS nomination, but a personal nomination of Peevski. It's a painful process for me. One should always keep one thing in mind when defining people and not believe too much in pathetic talk but should look at actions. I believed her declarations and her fights, and now I am beginning to understand that they were theater. I want to see what kind of anti-corruption fighter a person personally nominated by Peevski to be an MEP will be.

Yoncheva was welcomed at the feet of the congress in 2019, reminded Alexander Simov and continued: "She was elected leader of the list and entered the EP. After that she disappeared for the party life. She was undetectable".

"How much are all the oaths to fight corruption worth, when at one point you accept an offer from the DPS to be on their list? How does this jump from the left-wing European political family to the liberal one happen?", he also asked.

And for the rest of the MEPs elected with the BSP list in the previous European Parliament, Simov said: "There are key topics on which a BSP representative in the EP must comply with the policy led by his party. When this does not happen, we have the right to give our negative evaluation.

Today the BSP determined its leaders on lists in the country, as well as its Eurolist. Alexander Simov named the first ones in the party's Eurolist:

"First is Christian Vigenin, second - Rumen Gechev, third is Tsvetelina Penkova, fourth is Vyara Emilova, fifth - Philip Popov and sixth - Alexander Simov.

The former MP expressed the opinion that it will be difficult for the party to get 6 MPs into the European Parliament.

Every sorting of leaves is related to such processes, he said regarding the tension surrounding the leaves in Plovdiv. Veska Nencheva is a person who gives her all for her city and her region, emphasized Simov. According to him, it is about personal conflicts. And expressed hope that they will be overcome.

Personal conflicts have always had an impact on our result and this hinders us when we campaign, commented Simov and said: "I hope we have learned our lesson this time".

"I joined a party that looks like an Italian family. But in the end, the party survives," he said.
