A serious accident between two cars took place on the capital's ring road. One even turned against the traffic. Witnesses reported what happened in the "Disasters in Sofia" Facebook group.
The accident happened before the turnoff for the roundabout for "Lomsko Shosse", in the direction of the "Lyulin" residential district. According to eyewitnesses, one of the cars was driven by a woman.
The causes of the accident are being clarified. According to initial data, there were no serious injuries in the collision. However, both cars suffered heavy material damage.
During the past 24 hours, 13 serious accidents were registered on the territory of the country, in which one person died and 17 were injured, the Ministry of the Interior announced. There were 22 minor accidents in Sofia alone.
Since the beginning of the year, 112 people have died in road accidents in Bulgaria, compared to the same period in 2023, there are 25 fewer deaths.
