In the program “Offensive with Lyubo Ognyanov” on NOVA NEWS Rumen Gechev, leader of the BSP list in Vidin and second in the party's European list, commented on the party's proposed changes to the Labor Code.
One of the ideas is to set the minimum wage at 50 percent of the average gross wage for the country for a period of 12 months.
„When we form the proposals, we do a comparative analysis of what other EU member countries are doing, what are the directives that we have to fulfill. BGN 1,100 minimum wage, that is 50 percent of the average, is in full compliance with the European program. This is not such a big increase, he explained.
„Our entire social program costs BGN 2.5 billion. It includes children's and maternity. We have specified the budget deficit," the professor also commented.
In his words, the party is firmly “for” nuclear energy, completion of the "Belene" NPP; and the expansion of the “Kozloduy” NPP.
