Stoynev: BSP has always defended national interests. The assembly gave our nuclear equipment to Ukraine

BSP we promised free kindergartens - are they a fact, they are a fact. We promised that the minimum wage would be 50% of the average, that there would be a mechanism - is it a fact, it is a fact. We promised a 30% increase in pensions, we achieved it. We promised that we would bring security and not allow chaos in the energy sector, said the leader of the "BSP for Bulgaria" lists in Stara Zagora and Pazardzhik

„We have become the country that does not produce nuclear equipment, but for the second time he is selling nuclear equipment. There is no such country in the world. We have it here, thanks to GERB and the right-wing parties, who over the years did everything possible to prevent Bulgaria's cheapest nuclear project from happening.

This was stated by the list leader of the “BSP for Bulgaria” in Stara Zagora and Pazardzhik Dragomir Stoynev in the program “Delnitsi” of Eurocom, reports the press center of the left.

He recalled that BSP is the party that opposed the decision of the ruling parties from GERB, PP-DB to sell the nuclear equipment to Ukraine. „For us, this is national betrayal. I don't know how Ukraine, which is at war, can build a nuclear power plant, but we can't, given that we have a site certified by all authorities,” emphasized Stoynev, who is a former energy minister.

BSP, we have always protected national interests. It is in the national interest to have this project because we see that with this EU policy and part of the EC on the green deal, the future of coal plants is becoming more and more difficult. That's why we say: Bulgaria needs statesmen, people's representatives here and in the EP, who will protect the national interest and the energy security of the country,” stated the position of the socialists Dragomir Stoynev.

In the conversation about the increase in the price of electricity for household consumers, the leader of the “BSP for Bulgaria” in Stara Zagora and Pazardzhik emphasized: “The main reason is that the Energy System Security Fund lacks funds. And the funds were diverted by Finance Minister Asen Vasilev. And since there are no funds in the fund – in order to compensate the large producers, the burden is borne by the Bulgarian citizens”, added Stoynev.

Secondly, he emphasizes: “An even bigger increase was planned if the notorious liberalization of the household electricity market was accepted. Then the prices would really shoot up. I thank all political forces for standing behind the BSP. Because, we postponed the liberalization by one year until we build a clear model, specific responsibilities of who will be responsible for what and what will be their functions in this model. Because the PP prepared a model in which no one knew what they were responsible for,”, the socialist pointed out.

And I turn to the people: What is more important – should one billion from the EU enter Bulgaria now and the prices would jump by 20 to 30%? Or let's get our house in order, let's get our system in order and then. In our opinion, the second is more reasonable, Dragomir Stoynev pointed out.

But, in his words, this is how the assembly worked: “They worked mainly for foreign governments, mainly to please the EU, mainly to get some money, and not so much what will happen to the pensioners, to the people with disabilities, with young families and children, with education, with health care”.

In the conversation about trust and the upcoming elections, Stoynev said: “People should decide whom to support – parties that have fulfilled what they promised or parties that betrayed their voters”.

And he pointed out: “ BSP promised free kindergartens – are they a fact, they are a fact We promised that the minimum wage would be 50% of the average, that there would be a mechanism – is it a fact, it is a fact. We promised a 30% increase in pensions, we achieved it. We promised that we would bring security and not allow chaos in the energy sector.

About the coal plants: “In Stara Zagora, the pain is for the “Maritsa-East” complex. The Bulgarian miner is an honest, decent person – he doesn't want handouts, for you to go throw him some money without working, he wants to earn his salary with honest work,” said the former energy minister and added:

„I can look them in the eye, they remember that as a minister we raised their salaries twice, raised the price of coal, bought new excavators because there was a lot of mortality.

The leader of the “BSP for Bulgaria” in old Zagora and Pazardzhik was categorical: “BSP we insist on a complete renegotiation of the green deal. Compared to 1990, Bulgaria has reduced its carbon emissions by 43%. Germany, Italy, France - with 20% each. I don't understand then, why we should measure with one arshin from 2018, all of them will decrease by 40% again. Bulgaria has made its contribution. Let's not have artificial goals, let the rich countries hide behind the poor, but let's have one common goal," urged Dragomir Stoynev. And added:

„ If we want our planet to be clean, and that is what each one of us wants – all countries must follow certain rules. How can the biggest polluters like China, India, Turkey, the United States – not to be interested in the green deal, but for us to follow certain rules and then – to want to be competitive”, reacted the former energy minister.

Secondly, he highlighted the fact that the price not the energy produced from coal is expensive, because there is an artificial fee on this price of 60 to 100 euros. “How is this price determined – it is not market-based at all, but purely administrative. It's like, you produce tomatoes, I produce tomatoes, only we put a levy of 50 BGN on tomatoes, and let's say let's compete,”, responded the socialist.

Stoynev recalled that BSP gave a negative assessment of the management of the assembly and added:

They gave our nuclear equipment to Ukraine – let it be known, GERB, PP-DB and DPS voted for it. For us, from the BSP, it is a national crime. They said they brought Bulgaria into Schengen – only that it turned out to be semi-Schengen. We were promised an extremely large constitutional reform that would bring justice for Bulgarian citizens and a justice system that would be effective. We were warned by the BSP. They made such a constitutional reform that they created complete chaos in the state and now, if the government of Dimitar Glavchev resigns – no one knows who will be appointed and how. It has gotten even worse in the justice system, commented the socialist and concluded: .

„This parliament did not bring anything good to Bulgaria. But for Ukraine it brought”.
