"Vazrazhdane" will not participate in the extraordinary session of the parliament on May 21, Kostadin Kostadinov said, quoted by the press center of the formation, broadcast by BTA.
Earlier today, the Presiding Council of the National Assembly decided to hold an extraordinary plenary session on Tuesday at the request of people's representatives from “We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria” (PP-DB) because of the modernization of pensions.
Convening an extraordinary meeting during an election campaign is a violation of an already made decision, which was voted by PP-DB, GERB and DPS, Kostadinov points out.
He notes that the reason for convening the meeting, indicated by PP-DB, for an increase in pensions from July 1 by 11%, is inappropriate, since the decision to increase by such a percentage has already been made. Therefore, there is no need for the National Assembly to discuss a problem that has already been solved, and pensioners can be calm about the increase in their pensions, adds the chairman of "Vazrazhdane".
According to Kostadinov, any issues affecting the future of Bulgaria should be considered by the future 50th National Assembly, which will begin work in less than a month.
