Official Minister of Tourism Evtim Miloshev, who is on a visit to Vidin, stated that there is no tourism without connectivity, without infrastructure. And to make the best advertisement and to create the best tourist product, if there is no connectivity, there is no way to bring tourists, Miloshev said.
According to him, the state can help especially with infrastructure. That is why we are very actively working with the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works and the Ministry of Internal Affairs in connection with visa regimes, the capacity of border checkpoints, he added.
Minister Miloshev participated in a round table on "Tourism in Northwest Bulgaria" together with mayors of municipalities and representatives of the tourism industry from the region. At the meeting, questions were asked about the role of the state and the institutions for advertising the tourist product that is being created in Vidinsko, as well as about the delayed payments since 2022 for the accommodation of the citizens of Ukraine with the status of temporary protection.
Balneo-healing tourism for Vidin has a huge potential because it has these givens, and it is yet to develop, noted Minister Miloshev. And he added that a lot of good things could happen, especially along the Danube River, which he called "the highway directly to the heart of Europe".
During his visit, the Minister of Tourism will visit Kula and Belogradchik, and later he will visit the cultural and historical sights of Vidin. Tomorrow, his visit continues with meetings with representatives of the tourism sector and local authorities in Montana and Vratsa.
