NATO does not intend to take part in military actions, nor does it have military intentions towards Russia. NATO is a peace-loving organization.
This is what the Acting Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov told BNT.
"NATO has no intention of engaging in military action and this is one of the biggest speculations that continues to circulate that NATO has any military intentions towards Russia. We are celebrating 75 years of NATO and there is not a single case in these years that NATO has won back one square meter of land from a neighboring NATO country and annexed it to NATO territory. NATO adheres to the UN Charter and is a peacekeeping organization in the Euro-Atlantic area. This is the truth. "NATO is a peace-loving organization," emphasized Zapryanov.
When asked if there is a hybrid threat to the elections in our country from Russia and if there are concrete examples of this happening, Zapryanov answered:
"There is an EP resolution from April 25, it is public, every citizen can visit the site and see that it clearly defines Russia's experience through hybrid impacts, not only in Bulgaria, but in many of the European member states to influence the European elections. There is an analysis there and citizens can read it. Many examples are given of how public media, bots, business interests, such as mobilization in various member states, are used to influence elections in favor of Russia, attacking core European values.
