Globally, across the company, we have hired about 2,000 people who will be busy processing the results of the June 9 election. This was announced to journalists in the National Assembly building by the director of “Information Service” Ivaylo Filipov, broadcast by BTA.
Today a demonstration was made of software systems for computer processing of voting data for the June 9 election.
Filipov stressed that the Central Election Commission (CEC) will have more than 100 day shift operators. “I expect them to handle the huge amount of information about these two choices,”, he added.
In his words, the new thing about these elections is “two in one” is that for the European elections, the list of candidates is the same for all regional election commissions, and for the people's representatives in the different regions, a different number of deputies is broadcast.
According to the director of “Information Service" adopted by the National Assembly in connection with the video broadcasting of the counting of citizens' votes by the sectional election commissions and the completion of the protocols, as well as their signing, will lead to some delay. We expect to deal with it within the legal terms, he added.
„The registered parties and coalitions for the elections, compared to the past ones, both for national representatives and for the European Parliament, are about 50% more. For people's representatives in the last election, the candidates were about 5,600, and now there are about 7,600. These numbers lead to the company, together with the CEC, taking actions to increase the composition and shifts," Filipov explained.
He emphasized that on Wednesday by the end of the day, the CEC should come out with a result for the European elections, which means that "Information Service" must finish earlier work for the EP vote.
