There are certainly some quarrels in the DPS, but we as voters and as ordinary citizens are not used to we witness such happenings there because it has always been quite a balanced party and quite cleverly always covered up any shenanigans if there were any inside.
This is what he told "Focus" political scientist Maria Tsvetkova.
"What Delyan Peevski does is to put DPS out in the open, but not only the good features, but also what happens perhaps behind the scenes. Surely, the fact that it was necessary for Dogan to personally intervene and ask such a cabinet not to go through with the first term means that there are still some scumbags. Today Peevski mentioned intrigues. What is running through my head, of course I have no way of having proof of such a thing, is that after Peevski decided that he should interfere in GERB, Borisov most likely said: "Well, well, and I will intervene in the DPS in such a case”, and he just apparently had some conversation with Ahmed Dogan. I don't see what else could cause such upheavals, because until now we have not seen this parliamentary group vote so clearly and contradictory within itself", she commented.
Do Boyko Borisov and Delyan Peevski play together
"They may play together, but what Borisov is trying to do is to minimize Peevski's influence in GERB. I don't know if this is something that will end successfully or not, but we also see that Peevski is trying to somehow reformat both DPS and GERB to give sense, so we will see how far they will take him with this one idea to remain as a single block", said the political scientist.
Maraya Tsvetkova was adamant that we will hardly see DPS as the first political force in any future early parliamentary elections.
