The breakaway MPs from Velichie, close to Ivelin Mihailov, announced that they will not support the PP declaration - DB. The party lost its trust from the until recently MPs from “Majesty” Nikolay Markov and Victoria Vasileva.
For the first time, the chairperson of "Velichie" appeared publicly. Albena Pekova, noted BNT. She read a declaration of the Central Committee of the party, in which she called on MPs Nikolay Markov, Viktoria Vasileva and the other five MPs close to Nikolay Markov to leave the parliament.
The party will refer the European institutions on the occasion of the formed commission, which was created to check Mihailov's activities. Pekova demanded that the changes to the Constitution be canceled and defined the "silence" of the Constitutional Court as abdication.
Party “Majesty“ does not die, but on the contrary – gets stronger. The parliamentary group split, not the party. Purging is healthy because we get stronger.
This was stated by the chairman of the party, Albena Pekova, at a briefing, BGNES reported.
The party removed its trust from the until recently MPs from “Majesty“ Nikolay Markov and Victoria Vasileva.
„After he entered the parliament, Markov forgot about all the promises we made to our voters. It was expected from him that he would reveal many things from the very first day, including about abuses on the election day, because the “Greatness” there should have been a higher result”, said the chairman of the party and continued: “Markov also announced that he would support a program government, and our party does not support that. Our people's representatives also shared that they were under pressure from Markov and Vasileva to support a cabinet. Vasileva, as the person with the most experience, let them down”, Albena Pekova said, motivated by the broken trust.
Lawyer Stella Bobcheva explained why Nikolay Markov did not become the chairman of the party. “We decided that the change of the chairmanship of the party would happen after the elections, we convened an extraordinary congress on June 16, it did not come to the election of Markov as chairman, because there was no quorum and the second prerequisite that prevented – he had not submitted a request for desire either to the Central Council or to any of the local political clubs, Bobcheva explained.
It became clear from the press conference that the MPs from the now defunct PG “Velichie“ will fight to continue the construction of the "Belene" NPP, as well as submit proposals to restore the Constitution before the changes made.
Krasimira Katincharova reminded again that a commitment to voters was not made to support a program cabinet.
