Socialists from all over the country are gathering today on the historic meadow under Mount Buzludzha for the traditional National Assembly of the Left, where the BSP will celebrate 133 years since the Buzludzha Congress and the creation of an organized socialist movement in our country under the motto “Together! The beginning is Buzludzha!”, announced the press center of the party, BTA reported.
On the eve of the Buzludzha Council yesterday, seventeen left-wing parties and formations signed the "Address to the Bulgarian People", among them are "The Left!", "Stand Up, God" and previous partners of BSP.
From 11:30 a.m. today, the socialists will gather on the historical meadow and start the National political rally, where emblematic left-wing figures and leaders of left-wing formations will take part. An entertainment part is planned, in which the center of the program will be the Bulgarian performer Miro. So far, the registered socialists who have expressed a desire to participate in the Buzludzha event far exceed the requests from previous years, the BSP pointed out. “The interest is record high. This shows that people are accepting the new direction of the party. Buzludzha belongs to every socialist and I am glad that this year we will revive the idea,” said acting chairman Atanas Zafirov, quoted by the press center.
From 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the movement of cars over 3.5 tons will be restricted on a section of the I-5 Gabrovo road – Shipka because of the holding of the council. Traffic is stopped in the section of the first-class road I-5 between the 155th km and the 184th km from the intersection with the municipal road for the “Eter” and the section between Gabrovo and Shipka. It will not be allowed to pass on the panoramic road III-5005 between Mount Shipka and Mount Buzludzha. The alternative route for the movement of motor vehicles over 3.5 tons will be through the Republic Pass – road II-55 Veliko Tarnovo - Gurkovo.
Motor vehicles will be diverted from the junction for the town of Debelets to Prohoda na Republika. Local traffic in the city of Gabrovo, as well as cars coming from the north and west, will be redirected from the city of Gabrovo along road III-552 through Tryavna – Belitsa and Stinking Water to road II-55 Pass of the Republic and back. The restriction does not apply to organized bus transport and regular passenger lines moving along an established route, informed the "Road Infrastructure" Agency. (API).
