BDZ introduces digital devices (PDAs) for selling tickets in trains on the busiest routes Sofia - Burgas - Sofia and Sofia - Varna - Sofia, the national railway reports.

With this step, cases of duplication of tickets with a reserved seat will be stopped, since the PDA devices are connected centrally to the ticketing system, with which all stations in the country work. Electronic ticketing through digital devices greatly facilitates the transport staff, as the ticket is automatically printed with just the push of a few buttons.

At the same time, accountability increases by providing real-time data directly in the system for the sales made.

With the new devices, the control of tickets purchased online will also increase, which will be checked on the spot in the train. The introduction of electronic ticketing is part of the measures to improve and upgrade the functionalities of the company's ticketing system.
