Ukrainian lioness Yuna, rescued from a war zone, saw grass VIDEO

This happens for the first time in years

For the first time in over 2 years, Yuna the lioness saw grass, NOVA reported.

The 3-year-old feral cat lived in a 3m by 4m concrete cage in a private home in Ukraine after the outbreak of hostilities. The animal was moved to the Big Cat Sanctuary in the English county of Kent.

Due to the strong explosions near her home, Yuna suffered a terrible neurosis, concussion and lost coordination, according to the veterinarians. She was taken out of the war zone by the non-governmental organization Wild Animal Rescue, who moved her to Kyiv.

From the Ukrainian capital, the lioness set off on a 5-day journey through Poland, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and France to find her new home on the Island.
